Established in July 1995 and based in Singapore, Island Shipbrokers has been recognised as one of the leading broking companies in the Asian region. On 21 February 2012 Island Shipbrokers was acquired by ICAP plc Group, an emerging force in the global shipbroking market headquartered in London with offices in Hamburg, Gibraltar, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and Stamford (Connecticut). As a consequence of this acquisition and with effect from the 1st May 2012, our company name will change from “Island Shipbrokers Pte Ltd” to “ICAP Shipping Tankers Pte Ltd” and we will operate under the name of “ICAP Shipping”.

Leveraging the capabilities of an international network of brokers and contacts supported by a strong Research and Operations team, we are in a much stronger position to deliver a high quality of service across a much broader spectrum of markets including wet and dry cargo, sale and purchase and forward freight agreements.
